How NetTools.tech handles your data: what we collect, what we don’t, and why.

Summary
- No accounts, no sign-up.
- No advertising or third-party tracking scripts.
- Fonts and assets are self-hosted — no requests to third-party font or CDN services.
- Browser-based tools (such as the User Agent checker, Password Generator and Password Checker) process data locally and send nothing to our servers.
Password Checker breach check
Only if you press “Check breaches”, your browser contacts Have I Been Pwned (api.pwnedpasswords.com) and sends the first
5 characters of the password’s SHA-1 hash. The password itself and its full hash are never sent; the comparison happens on your device.
Data stored in your browser
If you change the color theme, your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage under the key theme.
It never leaves your device and you can clear it at any time.
Server logs
Like any website, our hosting provider may process standard request data (such as IP address, user agent and requested URL) to deliver pages and protect against abuse. Details will be added here once hosting is finalized.
Backend-powered tools
Tools that need a server (for example DNS lookups or ping) will process only the input you submit, to perform the request. This section will describe retention, rate limiting and abuse prevention before those tools go live.
