Traceroute
AvailableTrace the route packets take from our servers to a host, hop by hop, with latency at each step.

How it works
Packets are sent with increasing TTL values. Each router that drops a packet for reaching TTL zero reveals itself, building the path hop by hop.
Safeguards & responsible use
- Server-side input validation: only syntactically valid hostnames and IP addresses are accepted.
- Private, loopback, link-local and reserved address ranges are blocked to protect internal infrastructure.
- Per-client rate limiting and request timeouts.
Frequently asked questions
What do the asterisks (*) mean?
That hop did not reply in time. Many routers rate-limit or ignore traceroute probes, which is usually harmless.
Why is the path different from mine?
The trace runs from our server, not your computer, so it follows our network’s route to the destination.
